About Dr. Katie
I spent more than two decades as a radiation oncologist, deeply committed to my patients and trained in the best of conventional medicine. For many years, I believed that if I just worked harder, learned more, and followed the system, I would be able to help people truly heal.
Over time, I began to see the limits of that model.
While medicine is excellent at managing disease, it often leaves little room for the emotional, metabolic, and internal dimensions of healing.
We treated symptoms well, but rarely slowed down enough to listen to the body as a whole — or to the person living inside it.
What ultimately changed my path wasn’t a study or a protocol. It was a profound personal experience that cracked open my understanding of healing and forced a deeper question:
What if healing requires listening — not just intervening?
That question led me beyond traditional oncology and into the study of metabolic health, fasting physiology, nutrition, nervous system regulation, and whole-person healing. I began to understand healing not as something we do to the body, but something that happens when we create the right conditions and allow the body’s innate intelligence to lead.
Leaving medicine was not a dramatic exit. It was a quiet, deliberate decision rooted in integrity.
I share more of this story — and the experiences that reshaped how I understand healing — in this podcast episode with Dr. Nasha Winters:
I spent more than two decades as a radiation oncologist.
Today, my work is focused on guiding people back into a relationship with their bodies. Through fasting and metabolically informed nourishment, emotional and mindset support, and deep respect for the body’s wisdom, I help people create space for healing on every level — physical, emotional, and spiritual.
If you’re here, you may already sense that your body is asking for something different.
My work exists to help you listen.
