This week on the podcast
I am beyond excited to share this week’s episode of the Born to Heal Podcast with Isabel Friend with you.
This week, I dive into the fascinating world of hydration with water educator and activist Isabel Friend. Get ready to have some common myths about drinking water shattered. Isabel reveals the hidden factors that influence how well our bodies can actually utilize the water we're drinking.
It turns out water does so much more than just quench your thirst. It plays a huge role in how your cells function, how you absorb nutrients, and even your energy levels. You'll learn how the quality of the water itself can impact your overall health. Plus, Isabel breaks down the connection between water and detoxification.

Where to start with your water, according to Isabel Friend
In today’s episode, Isabel shared with us where to get started when it comes to our water. As you heard through Isabel’s explanations, water maintains optimal health through the same pillars that we covered for optimal human health in the Roadmap to Radiant Health Workshop.
Here are Isabel’s recommendations for optimizing and bringing your water back into harmony below:
1. Forage your water – Isabel explains that if you can forage for water, you can skip all of the other recommendations below because the other steps bring the water back to a high spring-quality state found in nature.
Foraging for water means going out into nature and finding high-quality spring water. You can use Findaspring.org to find a spring near you. Isabel shares that foraging can be a profound experience that is worth the pilgrimage.
You can find testing kits and foraging tools on her website to test the spring water quality by clicking here.
An important note is that water needs diversity in her biome in the same way we need to maintain a healthy microbiome. The tap water we drink is sterilized, killing many essential bacteria that help water maintain a healthy microbiome. Natural spring water is one of the best probiotics you can consume.
If you can’t forage your water from a natural spring, the recommendations below include tools to bring the water back to a spring-like state that you would find in nature.
2. Filtration – Water has fundamentally the same needs we have because we are bodies of water. In the same way that we need to take care of our hygiene, water needs to be filtered and cleaned to maintain proper hygiene. These are my recommendations for water filters for an under the sink option and a countertop option.
3. Structure – In the same way that our health suffers without community connection, water needs structure and community to function optimally and support hydration in our bodies. When water is stagnant in the way we get it through the tap and bottled water, the molecules lose their natural bond, creating individual water molecules that no longer communicate with each other.
Water molecules need to communicate with each other inside of the body to support health throughout the body.
Nature uses movement through springs to bond water and create this community-like structure within water. We can use water structuring tools to ensure our water is coherent and structured before drinking it. You can find recommendations for water structuring tools here.
4. Balance – Balance is about ensuring water is eating properly in the same way humans need proper nutrition. Water dissolves minerals and electrolytes into herself to create a well-nourished mineral profile that supports the health and well-being of our bodies.
We can ensure our water maintains a high-quality mineral profile by balancing the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in our water. This can be done by adding a pinch of high-quality salt to our water. In the Water Cure, Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidj added high-quality salt to the water of his patients and cured many ailments with water alone.
5. Energize – In the same way that we as humans need to be exposed to high-quality stimuli such as quality education, positive role models, inspiring environments, and so on, water needs exposure to high-quality stimuli. Water takes on the information she’s exposed to in the same way that we do.
When water is structured and properly formed, she can store and become a physical vessel for that information. Water is also a conduit of electromagnetic forces. We know that we need the full spectrum of light frequencies to function at our best – water also requires the full spectrum, and thus, by energizing our water, we are ensuring we get the full spectrum of light frequencies.
The Analemma wand and Infopathy pad are Isabel’s recommended tools for energizing your water.
Putting it all together
As you can see, giving our water the proper care and attention it needs can significantly benefit our overall health and well-being. You can connect with Isabel and learn more about the power of water by visiting her website here.
