Let’s dive into today’s topic!
The Traditional Western Medicine Approaches
Up until recently, Western Medicine has traditionally suggested two paths for treating cancer:
The traditional Western Medicine path or the Integrative Medicine path.
The traditional Western Medicine path focuses on treating symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery.
The Integrative Medicine path combines Western medicine with evidence-based complementary therapy such as acupuncture, massage, chiropractic services, and supplementation.
The Conscious Oncology Approach
Today, I recorded a special audio to help you better understand Conscious Oncology and how it can support you in your cancer healing journey.
Conscious Oncology offers a new approach to treatment that includes complementary practices you may find in Integrative Medicine but is based on different principles.
Conscious Oncology is a balanced approach to healing cancer that covers six critical areas or ‘pillars’ that create a comprehensive approach to healing.
These six pillars address the four ‘bodies’ each of us has—the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. In Conscious Oncology, three of the pillars address the physical body, and the remaining three pillars cover the mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
In the coming weeks, I will send individual articles about each of the bodies and the pillars contained within them to empower you with the mental frameworks to understand and utilize this approach.
What makes Conscious Oncology different?
What makes Conscious Oncology different is that it doesn’t use a traditional Western approach and it also doesn’t focus on just killing cancer cells. It offers a holistic and broader view of what causes cancer and is designed to help you determine why you became sick.
The truth is, in most cases, your cancer wasn’t caused by one thing. It was likely caused by multiple things, which is why there isn’t just one pillar (such as killing cancer cells) but six pillars.
It is also founded on the principle that each person is unique and needs an individualized approach to healing. For this reason, I don’t prescribe one-size-fits-all treatments.
Because the word ‘healing’ means to come into wholeness, Conscious Oncology focuses on healing the whole person. My approach views you as a whole person who has an innate intelligence within you that knows what your body needs to heal.
This is why Conscious Oncology focuses on healing these four bodies with six specific pillars to heal cancer at its root and ultimately bring you back into wholeness and harmony within yourself.
Join me next week as we dive into the physical body component of the Conscious Oncology Wheel and the three main areas within it that you can address to make these impactful treatment practices a priority in your cancer healing journey.
Much Love,
Dr. Katie
